Federal Highway Administration

[NEW] Procurement, Management, and Administration of Engineering and Design Related Services: Clarifies when regulations regarding procurement of professional services by recipients of FHWA discretionary grants that are non-state transportation agencies are inapplicable.

  • Public comments are due by Apr. 1.

Department of Labor

[NEW] Apprenticeship: Changes several provisions of the apprenticeship program, including requiring 2,000 hours of on-the-job training, providing same allowances, rights, and protections as regular employees including leave and retirement benefits. The rule includes several other provisions.

  • Public comments are due by Mar. 18.

Office of Management and Budget

[NEW] Information on Meetings with Outside Parties: The White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) wants to collect information  on how many times a particular party requests meetings on a rulemaking under the E.O. 12866 process. The collection would ask parties to disclose how many meetings they’ve requested in a three-year period as well as additional information about those meetings.

  • Public comments are due by Feb. 26.

Small Business Administration

Revising Small Business Size Standards: The agency indicates that it will be updating its methodology used to determine what constitutes a small business.
